Acupuncture is one of the many skills used within physiotherapy as an integrated approach to the management of pain, and as a means of enhancing the body's own healing.

Acupuncture has an extraordinary ability to change people's lives.  Its effectiveness is the reason for its increasing popularity and acceptance by orthodox health practitioners.

Will it work for you?   Research has shown that most people gain pain relief from Acupuncture and this is generally due to the release of endorphins into the body during the Acupuncture process. Endorphins are pain inhibiting substances which naturally occur in the body.  The increase in the production of these chemicals produce an analgesic effect.  Clinical trials provide evidence that it has a powerful and sustained effect on muscular and skeletal pain.

I have completed  post graduate training in acupuncture and I have been using it for 10 years now, with great success.  I use acupuncture primarily for pain relief, for a wide range of conditions including:

  • Arthritis
  • Low back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Headaches
  • Soft tissue injuries

Acupuncture is often used in combination with other physiotherapy techniques.

I am registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists(AACP). http://www.aacp.uk.com

I hold an acupuncture licence provided by Conwy County Borough, to enable me to practice acupuncture in a private setting.

Only single use, sterile, disposable needles are used in the clinic.

I am always happy to answer any questions you may have.
